Overview
Finisar were encountering trouble meeting RPO when
replicating across WAN, couldn't backup remote offices in a timely manner and couldn't send large engineering files between international offices.
After implementing Silver Peak's WAN optimization solution, data replication was increased by 8 times, data backup time was reduced from 4 days to 1 day, a 50MB file transfer was reduced from 8 minutes to 15 seconds and there was a 75% improvement in WAN bandwidth utilisation, avoiding costly upgrades.
