Part of the financial accounting procedures operated by the Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust involves liability for its 13,000 accountable assets, requiring skill and dedication as well as good financial management.
The RAM Asset4000 software enabled the Trust to hold as much information about their assets as they wanted, including serial numbers, location details and accounting information on purchase cost, replacement value and book price. This has created an accurate picture of the hospital's assets.
Asset4000 acts as more than an asset register for the trust. It is also a financial tool for modelling, forecasting and estimating.
