With its existing system, Lagan was at risk of losing business critical emails that could potentially be required at a later date. In order to combat storage growth and keep its Exchange server performing optimally, Lagan had imposed a 100MB limit on mailbox size. To keep within the limit, users either had to delete emails or archive them to PST files, which made them difficult to find.
This case study shows how Lagan regained control of corporate email to ensure that business-critical emails could be retrieved when necessary.
The implemented archiving solution enabled them to remove mailbox limits, eliminate PST files and tape-based archiving, develop a disaster recovery strategy and facilitate conducting eDiscovery to settle contractual disputes.
