Storage spend continues to rise

Overview

In 2007 a survey by analyst Forrester found that organisations spent an average of 10% of their IT budget on storage. By 2010 this figure had risen to 17%.

Given the need to process and retain more and more data, most firms expect storage expenditure to carry on rising. Which begs the question: "where is the money going to come from?"
