The business benefits of remote working are well documented, and for those considering it as a means to mitigate operational interruptions, it seems an obvious way forward. The challenges facing UK plc are making work something we ‘do' rather than the place where we ‘go'.
"Fewer than 19% of respondents said they allowed members of their finance team to work remotely on a regular basis; however, 42% do allow remote working on an ad hoc basis."
A survey was conducted among readers of Accountancy Age and Financial Director magazine comprising of senior finance staff in companies employing up to 250 staff to find out their remote working patterns. This paper analyses the results and explains how improvements in IT means more and more people are wanting to work away from the office.
