In an environment as complex and fast-moving as mobile applications, developers need to ‘write once and run anywhere' whilst ensuring that new apps are properly tested before being released into the wild.
Computing research reveals a mixed approach to mobility, with strategy being driven by a variety of departments as well as IT, and native, web-based and hybrid architectures being given similar weight. The research points to a multi-channel future in which, unlike with the PC, no one device ecosystem or operating system is dominant.
Thus strategy needs to be focussed on the quick and secure release of apps that run on whatever the customer (or employee in the case of internal apps for company use) happens to be using.
One solution is to use a tool that creates a virtual testing environment, as this white paper explains.
