Total data management is that rare thing in technology jargon: a phrase that means exactly what it says.
As the volume and variety of data increases, pulling it together in one place so it can interrogated is becoming more of a challenge. Failing to address this challenge means ignoring a large amount of the data that flows through an organisation, which will give a partial view at best.
