How to manage a factory IT environment

Overview

Following a successful proof of concept, Intel IT plans to use Intel vPro technology to remotely manage PCs as select factory IT environments. They conducted tests at a small manufacturing site and obtained significant results:
• energy savings of approximately 64% due to the ability to remotely control the power state of PCs
• up to 61% potential reduction of desk side visits
• improved security due to more reliable patch delivery
