The risk of data loss is growing as a result of several factors, combined with the increased availability of data from and for the public. Although the new government has indicated it will review proposed large transformational projects introduced by the previous administration, it will continue to use ICT as a driving factor to improve efficiency. The government is committed not only to improving the availability of existing data sets, but also to collecting more data about citizens to facilitate a greater choice in services provided by the public sector.
