File Sharing and Synchronisation (FSS) have undeniable advantages that enable employees to access information from any platform at any time and at any place. With this, however, a number of problems arise. This paper explores the benefits and limitations of FSS technology in great depth.
Organisations don't seem to think the risks associated with FSS have improved. Therefore, this paper considers what can be done about these risks. The favourable option for many organisations is to deploy an enterprise-grade FSS tool which will allow IT departments to have greater control over file sharing, whilst retaining the benefits of consumer-grade FSS tools.
